Guaymas

We drove into Guaymas today for lunch with fellow Bloggers Brenda and Roy. They recommended La Barca, a nice little restaurant on a side street where the Chile Relenos were great! After lunch we walked to the historic Guaymas City Jail which is in the process of restoration. It is a small place that once housed up to 300 prisoners, a separated mixture of male, female and youths. It was a wonderful afternoon meeting new friends.

  1. Glad to read that you're having such a good time. You really make me want to experience the 'real' Mexico one day to get the sour taste of Tijuana out of my mouth. Maybe chiles rellenos would help? They sound spicy!

  2. Hi Rae, Tijuana is not Mexico! You have to get at least 100 miles below the border areas to even start to see Mexico.

Chile Relenos are not spicy. They are very mild yellow peppers stuffed with cheese, breaded, fried in oil and served with a mild salsa. They are very good!

I am following your Blog. Good luck with the job!
