I have mixed feelings about zoos. I love animals and I agree it is important to give children the opportunity to see them in as close to a natural environment as possible. On the other hand I do not believe any animal should be in a zoo. It is a bit of a dilemma to be sure. However, the zoo attached to the Parque-Museo de La Venta is tastefully done and the enclosures are very large.
